Wyatt Marshall, the brother who followed his passion to become a famous hockey player, discovers that Coco, the love of his life is in trouble in Russia. He arranges for his team to enter a tournament that will bring him closer to where she disappeared.  

Without a plan, but full of determination, Wyatt embarks on a roller coaster ride of danger, heartbreak and pain to find and win the woman who got away. And in the process, discovers an amazing secret.

Susan May Warren has outdone herself on Book 4. I was not able to set the book aside and read until the wee hours of the morning.  

I give this book five stars.

Wow! This tops it off...and yet we have one more to go!

Loved Wyatt! He's the Marshall that isn't like the rest of them. He's a hockey player who is a star in the eyes of sports, but he doesn't feel like he's the start in the eyes of his family. I love how this is woven into the story to encourage the reader to keep reading just to see if Wyatt can figure out he's more than just a goalie.

Coco - She's a complex character. She has so many secrets. She has so many things she can't figure out how to fix herself and therein enters Wyatt into her life, again.

Pretty sure Wyatt was my fave in the series by this book (but really, they all were my faves at the time of reading.) Wyatt has so many things he has to figure out for being such a manly man. I was a bit surprised he was so insecure in himself for so long.

If you like explosive suspense with a lot of twists and turns in a romantic journey, you'll love this book and series. Warren wraps it up nicely...but I can't wait to see what RJ's story will be like!

"Drop the puck. Game time."

Wow. I think I said that about every book in The Montana Marshalls series. But Susan May Warren really dials up the suspense, action, and romance with each consecutive book! How does she do that?!?!

This fourth book in the series follows Wyatt, the fourth born of the Marshalls, as he climbs above his insecurities, his physical injuries while playing as the most beloved goalie in the NHL, and his regrets every time he thinks about Coco, the woman who got away. Wyatt, an emotional tough guy who wears his heart on his sleeve, will totally captivate and enchant every reader with his fierce love and loyalty, single-minded devotion, and sense of honor. Coco is also tough and resourceful but vulnerable and lovable at the same time. The secrets revealed in the plot are mind-blowing and I'm already anxiously anticipating what will happen next in the final installment of the series!  

The interaction among the Marshall siblings is so incredibly fun, as is their interaction with York. The flashbacks into Wyatt and Coco's history are well-written and augment the current storyline. We also get to know Gerri Marshall, the matriarch of the family, a little better in this book (I'm hoping that Susan May Warren will write a prequel about Gerri and Orrin since they are so fascinating). The action is intense as Wyatt, Coco, and York race across Russia to return to the States even as other political threats involving RJ and other characters in the series build throughout the story. The faith element is tangible and relatable as Wyatt struggles to accept his Heavenly Father's unconditional love as well as his deceased earthly father's love and Coco struggles in her own way to accept His Omniscient and Omnipresent love.

The series should be read in order since the overarching theme and plot start with Knox (book 1) and will conclude with Ruby Jane (book 5), set to release in Nov 2019. If you enjoy romantic suspense, this series is a must read for 2019.

Another great installment in “The Montana Marshalls Series.” This book takes a look at how we allow our perception of ourselves to weave doubt into the fabric of our lives.

Wyatt’s feeling of never quite fitting into his family led him to misunderstand his father’s actions when he was younger. Being set free to chase his dreams, felt like rejection. Every decision, success, failure was measured against his desire to be good enough.

Coco also felt alone and rejected. Being part of the Marshall family was too good to be true, and her connection with Wyatt was something to hold onto—until he was gone.

Both Wyatt and Coco must face their own personal issues. They soon find that love and good intentions are never enough. In their frailties they find that only God can fill the emptiness of the soul, leaving room then for them to flourish. 

Full of action, suspense, angst, love and family, they find their way back to each other. This is a great book and I finished it feeling both satisfied and anxious for the next book. I recommend it.
