Marie EdwardsI have been an avid reader since I was a child - about age 2. In the third (3rd) grade I was reading on a fifth (5th) grade level. I graduated five (5) months ahead of my class, and while enrolled for a Criminal Justice degree I had a 3.5-3.8 GPA.
Last year (2019) I was on two "launch teams". One was for Gary Sinise's biography - "Grateful American", the other for a paperback launch of TI Lowe's "Lulu's Cafe". I also joined JustRead Publicity Tours as a "host" and then joined Prism Book tours. I've completed several tours with them, and am still working on tours with both. I launched my own blog in August of 2019 to not only help with the tours, but to promote the book reviews. I am active on Instagram, Twitter, and have a "writer" page on Facebook as I hope to become a writer one day. I have done independent reviews for authors, and am part of the Revell Reads reviewer program. I have reviewed both fiction and non-fiction books. I also like to write, and have participated in NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) since 2011, "winning" all years. I also have completed the CampNaNoWriMo challenges once in 2013; and then twice a year from 2014 to current. I prefer print books as I feel there is nothing better than to hold them in your hand, and I also like the "scent" of a brand new book. I have well over 400+ books in my library. I was introduced to Christian Fiction in 1999 from Dee Henderson's books. I rediscovered the genre last year (2019). I love romance, romantic suspense, and suspense novels. I have also done advanced reading reviews for upcoming novels in different novels, but have preferred the cleaner, Christian reads. I also have a Goodreads, Bookbub, and Amazon account to review books. |
