You will get to visit with all the old characters and get that happy ever after with some new ones. Suspense abounds, danger lurks on every page and you won’t see the twists that come. I couldn’t put this down! Well written characters with real flaws that endear you to them and make you root for them to win in the end. Quite a few times I wanted to shake Jess into stop being so stubborn. Pete has to move on but he struggles with his past and wanting a different future. I would definitely categorize this as an up-all-nighter bookshelf keeper. If you love mystery, danger, fast action, page turning events and a thread of love and lessons then pick this up and read it! How clever that Susan May Warren titled her last book in her Montana Rescue Series "Wait For Me". Readers have devoured five books waiting for Pete and Jess to get their story. This final story is a culmination of several events that bring closure to the series and its characters who we have all grown to love. Ben King and Kasey finally get married. Shae, aka Esme, finds true love and Pete and Jess--well, you just have to read their story. In "Storm Front", Jess rediscovered her old life and, thanks to Pete, has returned to New York to get resolution and answers. But, now, Pete is regretting that decision as Jess has yet to return to him. He can't accept the fact that she is with another man even after Jess has claimed it is only temporary. Given Jess' compulsion to run, Pete is trying, without success, to move on with his life. After an argument with Pete, Jess leaves with Shae and Ned. When they are kidnapped, the PEAK team comes together to save them and Pete must conquer his emotions if he hopes to find them. Warren has once again introduced characters who have become like family. They will be missed. I enjoyed my visits with the PEAK team and watching them survive every adventure and fall in love all while discovering their faith. While the adventure and excitement of the Montana Rescue series is over, I am almost positive Warren has already found a new family to introduce us to and new adventures to thrill us. At least I hope so.
