Y'all I think I liked this book more than I did book one. This book was so amazing. I loved everything from getting to know Aria and Jack more to the plot to the overall messages of this book, which happens to be one of my all-time favorite messages in CF. I love redemption stories so much and this story was one to remember.  Mrs. Warren did a fabulous job of weaving Christian messages into this book without it being too preachy or cheesy. It was amazing.

Speaking of amazing, the characters were amazing. I loved watching Aria grow and mature into the woman that we saw at the end. We got the opportunity to see part of her story in the last book, but I loved being one on one with her and her story in this book. Watching her grow and overcome past mindsets was so touching and I loved the way that Jake and Aria helped each other see their worth and see their God-given purpose, it was amazing. Speaking of Jake, I loved him so much. There were multiple times that I nearly teared up while reading from his POV, y'all these two have stolen my heart and I was glad to give it to them.

The plot was one that kept my heart pounding and me flipping pages. I loved it so much. If y'all have not read book 1, I highly recommend it because not only was book 1 amazing, but this one is definitely worth a read!!

Heart Of A Hero is a page turner of epic proportions and this story is quite possibly one of the most exciting reads of 2020 for me.

Between the situation Aria and Jake find themselves in, in Florida, to the fireworks between them, this book was impossible for me to put down. I HAD to know how it was going to end and it had multiple surprises in store along the way.

I really enjoyed this book, although there were a couple of plot points I could have done without. I know why they were written that way but they weren't my favorite, I am really looking forward to the final book in this set and I really hope I am right about a particular theory I have from Heart Of A Hero. Time will tell.

Wow, wow, wow. This is probably now tied with my favorite author Warren story. Talk about an adrenaline rush...I had a really hard time trying to live in reality with this story unfinished in my life.

This is the second in the Global Search and Rescue series and there is an overarching storyline. This is the first one I have read and the author does a great job of catching the reader up, but who wouldn't want to read the first. I do and now I just need to find the time.

Jake and Aria, what can I say. Jake is a scarred hero who loves a woman who does not want to be a damsel in distress. And it seems she always is around Jake. He doesn't see her like that, he just loves her. Aria actually likes him being the hero if she wasn't so caught up in her own head. Both have tragic paths that affect their present decisions and future paths, and I am really hoping that we get some closure on Jake's. 

Not only do we have their up and down relationship, but the dangerous weather and less than idea circumstances that rise up from that said weather has this story on a really fast rollercoaster. It was non-stop and I enjoyed every minute of it.

And the ending, with Ham...let's just say I am really anticipating the third in this adventure rich series.

This is book two of Global Search and Rescue and it was full of excitement and inspiration. 

Aria is a pediatric doctor and Jake was a SEAL.  Jake had rescued Aria in Alaska on Denali Mountain. Now, in Florida when a hurricane hits and Jake comes to the rescue again. They are stranded in a hospital with three other people. Jake has feelings for Aria and Aria has feelings for Jake but neither are ready to be hurt again. This was a real good book and I am anxious to read Book 3.

The Susan May Warren that I have loved for years shows back up in this book. The pace is a bit more settled, the characters have time to properly introduce themselves, and the spiritual depth is absolutely point on, which pleases me . . . . . because this series is far from over.

Susan May Warren has been a favorite author for many years. I like that her suspense books contain adventure, mystery, and fast-paced action. The Heart of a Hero, which is the second book in the Global Search and Rescue series, contained all of those elements.

I liked Doctor Aria Sinclair and former SEAL Jake Silver from the first book, The Way of the Brave. They are book real people who face physical, emotional, and spiritual struggles as they consider a relationship with one another.

In the background of The Heart of a Hero, we see glimpses into a future book with a backstory of Signe and Ham--another couple with real problems to overcome. I liked the characters in this book, and I found the plot to be fast-paced. I was definitely driven to keep reading and to find out how the story worked out. I also liked that Warren takes on some spiritual challenges and weaves them in seamlessly. They don't feel preachy or stilted. At the same time, there is one struggle I wish she would have addressed more head-on in this book. How Aria and Jake will handle their physical attraction from a spiritual perspective as they go forward. I think readers would like to see how that worked out for them.

I am interested in seeing how things work out with Signe and Ham in the next book, so this book left me wanting to read more in the series. Also, as a bonus, I enjoyed Jake's love of Spam from his home state of Minnesota. The Global Search and Rescue series definitely builds on the previous book(s). While readers could read each book alone, they would be better off reading the series in order.
