Reviewer: Jeanette Durkin The title of this book really caught my attention, and I had to read it! It's an original and unique story about a woman who's a gift counselor. It's a brilliant idea! A trained psychologist who helps people find gifts for others using her strong deductive skills. Jonquil fascinated me from the very beginning. She's a student working at a Children's Home with emotionally disturbed children. She truly loves her job and the children that she works with. Unfortunately, she loses that job and has to find a new one. She becomes a gift counselor. The great thing is that she continues to help people despite her circumstances. My favorite character is Rita! She is colorful and full of life! She's hard-working and a steadfast friend. There are some difficult subjects brought to light. Jonquil's husband tragically dies, along with a family pet. This traumatized Jonquil, and as a result, she lies to her son Billy. Reconciliation does come, but painfully. This book will definitely get you in the mood for Christmas and will help the reader ponder their gift-giving! I was provided a copy of the book by the author through Interviews & Reviews.
