Author: Sharon Aubrey Genre: Bible Study/Theology Aside from the creation of Adam and Eve, no other date in history has influenced humanity like Nisan 17. The Old and New Testament have much to say about this mysterious date in history. Six pivotal events occurred on Nisan 17 in the Bible. The last one changed our eternity. Redemption’s Secret reveals the powerful meaning behind the number seventeen hidden within the Hebrew letters’ pictographs. It also reveals why God has repeatedly used this specific number to triumph over the enemy. Connecting events from Genesis to the New Testament, Ms. Aubrey tells the story of the secret of redemption revealed on Nisan 17 and what this revelation has to do with your future. Reviewer: Hanna Olson Sharon Aubrey's, Redemption's Secret: Understanding the Mystery of Nisan 17, The Most Important Date in History is full of intrigue and biblical history that many of us tend to overlook. She breaks down our Lord's calendar and discusses important historic events that all occurred on Nisan 17 and what that means for us today. I found this book an exciting and a fast-paced read. I enjoyed the ease in which this story flows and its meaningful content. Ms. Aubrey has successfully tackled a potentially confusing subject and explains it in an easily understandable way. Not only does this work explain the significance of Nisan 17 but it also touches on the Hebrew language, numbers, and word meanings, all of which I find fascinating. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in the Bible or in the way God reveals His ways to us. This makes for a great Bible study and introduction into God's calendar. I'm looking forward to more from this author. Reviewer: Laura J. Davis When I first read about the premise behind Redemption's Secret by Sharon Aubrey, my curiosity was piqued. What was the importance of Nisan 17 and more importantly, why should I care? For a tiny book, the author packed a lot into it. Aubrey begins by revealing the reason why God has redeemed us, with a lengthy explanation that starts back with Adam and Eve. For those who do not know their Bible, this is a thorough explanation with many Bible verses provided to establish the basis for the subject of this book. What many, myself included, may not know is that according to the author, Nisan 17 repeatedly occurs throughout the Bible in relation to our redemption and new beginnings. The author begins with a lesson in how God calculates time (this includes, years, months, weeks and days). From this lesson, we learn how the month of Nisan came to be and in subsequent chapters its significance concerning redemption and new beginnings. Unfortunately, the author seems to lose focus at one point and instead of staying with the subject of the date of Nisan 17 and its importance, she focuses on the number itself, by going through the entire Bible, zeroing in on verses and sometimes chapters with the number 17 in it. She includes, from Genesis to Revelation, all verses dealing with the number 17. While they were great verses, this is not proper exegesis and did nothing to prove the importance of Nisan 17. The significance of Nisan 17 finally did come in a roundabout way with the telling of Noah's Ark. While the author has fallen prey to the false teaching of demons having sex with humans (Genesis 6:2-4), she still manages to make her point and gets back on track. If the author had not gotten off track and if I had not encountered many typos, I would have given this book four stars. The author has shown the significance of Nisan 17 and why it is so vital for Christian's to be aware of that date. God has set this date as important in the Bible, and so we should keep it in mind in regards to current events today. But, that said, we should do so cautiously, lest we place too much importance on a date, imagining things that aren't there (as with the case of recent books dealing with blood moons) and get caught up in something that is not biblical.
