Author: Lynn H. Blackburn Genre: Mystery/Suspense Series: Dive Team Investigations #3 Release Date: September 3, 2019 Revenge has no statute of limitations When investigator Gabe Chavez had his cover blown by an aggressive reporter, the silver lining was being able to rejoin the dive team. The downside? Dive team captain Anissa Bell, a woman who both fascinates and frustrates him. Anissa grew up as a missionary kid on the Micronesian island of Yap and always planned to return after college. But she remained stateside, determined to solve the case that haunts her--the murder of her best friend and the disappearance of a three-year-old child. When Anissa's fractured past collides with Gabe's investigation into the tragic shooting death of a teenage boy in Lake Porter, they'll have to put aside their complicated history with each other in order to uncover the killer's identity. Reviewer: Abigail Harris I was so excited to get this book in the mail, and the cover was so much better in real life, so lifelike. The story line was as good as the previous books and the characters that we read about before were even more developed though they were not the main characters, I especially liked Ryan's part as best friend and acting big brother, and Leigh with her "pay back" was great! Anissa and Gabe's relationship had been brought up throughout the series even more than Adam and Bri's and it was exciting to find out just what gave them the unique love/hate relationship they have, the answers were not quite what I expected in a good way and the ending was super sweet. Recommendation: 17/19 up for violence and romance. Disclosure: I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review and am truly happy to provide it. Reviewer: Caroline Star One Final Breath by Lynn H. Blackburn did not disappoint! Having read the first and second book of the Dive Team Investigations series, I knew that Blackburn's writing was absolutely amazing and that her plots wouldn't fail expectations, I was SO excited to read the third one and it did not disappoint whatsoever! Starting off with the cover! I've never been a fan of big bold text on covers but I think the cover designer captured the feel of the book perfectly, so I love it! I love how it's so coordinated with the rest of the series' covers and it definitely works well with the plot of One Final Breath itself. Early on in the series, I could clearly feel Gabe and Anissa's tension and stressful / dynamic relationships, so I was admittedly very curious to see how Blackburn would bring them closer. I'm not sure how she did it but it for sure turned out so sweet and I loved seeing them grow closer together and comfort and love each other. Such a sweet romance to watch versus the other couples' less difficult pasts with each other. And Anissa's prayer warrior heart! I've never seen someone pray like that before in a fiction book and it was extremely encouraging and very lovely to see in a book. Her prayers are just like she's talking right to God with no buffer and it made me inspired to pray like that. As always, the plot was an absolute masterpiece and I couldn't put it down! There were so many twists and turns that I was shocked nearly every time I turned the page, but it tied together well and honestly came together to such a satisfying conclusion. Overall, One Final Breath was an amazing romantic suspense to read! Ms. Blackburn was and still remains my favorite suspense author of all time, so I would strongly recommend giving this book a try! This book was provided courtesy of Baker Publishing Group for my honest opinion. Reviewer: Mindy Houng “For his part, Gabe was looking at her the way an astronaut looks at Earth. Like he could see his home but couldn’t quite reach it.” Another intense, thrilling romantic suspense from Lynn H Blackburn! And this third book in the Dive Team Investigations series was so worth the wait to finally get the scoop on Anissa and Gabe. Though it can be read as a stand-alone, reading the books in order will make the most sense since the six main characters of the series are closely tied together and each story blends into the next. The author really knows how to weave a great plot with twists and turns, interjecting the villain’s thoughts and actions every so often as the story unfolds. The action is fast-paced and the suspense is top notch, as is her writing. The characters are layered, complex, and captivating. We’ve met Anissa and Gabe previously through the first two books but their past and what propelled them to become who they are get illuminated in this book. Anissa, the daughter of a missionary who is tough and efficient, regrets mistakes of her past and is still trying to find resolution to the kidnapping of a toddler that happened when she was a college student. Gabe, a man with a broken home and past, is usually a light-hearted jokester but strives to help those who are suffering as he had in his youth. When supposedly unrelated homicides converge, Anissa and Gabe are left to work together professionally but also to work through their long-held attraction. Their banter and slow-building romance are quite delightful as are the supporting characters who provide godly wisdom. If you enjoy romantic suspense, this book (and the entire series) is a must-read! I received a copy of the book from Revell and was under no obligation to post a positive review. All comments and opinions are solely my own.
Reviewer: Paula Shreckhise One Final Breath is the third book in the Dive Team Investigation series by Lynn H. Blackburn. We get to see what Gabe Chavez and Anissa Bell encounter to mend their relationship. This couple has had a very rocky start. Anissa is the Dive team captain and was not pleased when Gabe could not keep up with the training exercises because he was undercover. But the situation is about to change as their joint history is explained and Anissa’s background is revealed. While at their team member’s and friend’s house on Lake Porter, the team hears a shot and a shout for help. In the darkness, they rescue a teen and keep a body from being lost in the lake. Quite an opening! The whole team and their friends work together to find out who killed a young man. The clues seem to go in different directions until they find a common thread in Anissa. Can they figure it out before she takes her One Final Breath? The plot has you savoring every page for the twisty plot, the great romance and the way the author weaves spiritual threads throughout the story. The crossover bit with Brady St. John from Lynette Eason ‘s Blue Justice series was great! ( I finished reading them a few weeks ago). This series makes Lynn Blackburn an author to watch. She conveys the story with believable and exciting situations. Her characters are not perfect but find their strength in God. A copy of this book was provided by Revel Publishers through Interviews and Reviews. I was under no obligation to post a favorable review. All opinions are my own.

I love mysteries! I really enjoy a good detective story with a great plot. With a strong desire to find out what happens next. The fun banter of romance in the air between Anissa & Gabe also grabs your attention. Will they or will they not make it. Does it turn into a full blown relationship or not. One of my favorite past times, topics and sea exploration book topics is scuba diving. Lynn Blackburn is a terrific writer and author with a clear vision of how she takes her readers on a great journey without giving all the details away to soon. So it keeps the journey of reading them very exciting and enjoyable!

I just finished reading One Final Breath. Wonderful book, just like all of Blackburn's writing. All I need to do is see her name on the cover, and I'll buy it, knowing it will be excellent.

As with the first two books of this series, One Final Breath kept me enthralled. On page 362, I literally gasped out loud while hubby was watching tv. He asked if I was ok and I said no! It is a thriller! It is added to my library for my grands to read. Better than good! Loved it!
