Reviewer: Kelly Potts “Nila’s Hope” is Kathleen Friesen’s second novel. The characters are so well developed that I wish I could move to Saskatoon and find them – yes, I know they are fictional – and become part of their wonderful network of God’s love. This book addresses the topic of forgiveness of those who have hurt you as well as learning to forgive yourself. It is about stepping down from the judge’s chair and allowing God to take control. It is about trusting that God is there with you even though sometimes it feels like he is absent. Finally, it is about two people finding friendship, support and love. A beautiful story. There are a few gaps in the book that I don’t completely understand but that is because I have read Kathleen Friesen’s books backwards – first “Redemptions Whisper”, now “Nila’s Hope”. I will be adding Ms. Friesen’s first book, “Melody’s Song” to my reading list. 4/3/2017 10:35:15 am
Thanks for reading and reviewing Nila's Hope, Kelly. I'm glad you enjoyed Nila's story and its crucial message. I hope those gaps will get filled in by Melody's Song.
