Questioning whether the Good Lord exists. Whether our way of life is truly according to the scriptures. Why bad things happen to “good” faithful people. Naomi struggled with this, as well as several characters in this novel. What was epic is when life happens, because it will, we have two choices. To know that the Good Lord is good all the time and knows all that is happening with us individually or scoff at the Good Lord and turn our backs. Guess what?! We can come to these two roads on a regular basis; more than once in a day! Excellent novel! Depicting real life struggles, grace, unconditional love, and long-suffering.
