focus turns from theft to murder, Kelsey knows she's out of her league--and possibly in the cross hairs. When blast-from-the-past Detective Brad Hollister is called in to investigate, Kelsey may find that he's the biggest security threat yet . . . to her heart. Crackling with romantic tension and laced with intrigue, this suspenseful story from award-winning author Patricia Bradley will keep you guessing--and looking over your shoulder. ![]() Reviewer: Rebecca Maney "She closed her eyes and concentrated on her breathing. "I can do this'." When security specialist Kelsey Allen climbed over the ledge of a fourteen story building, dangling dangerously from a cable secured on the rooftop, proving to her employer that a breach of security was indeed possible through an unlocked window, she never imagined to be caught in the cross hairs of a murder scene. . . . . . .until a second murder is committed while she is attending a fund raising event at Memphis' esteemed Pink Palace Museum. Her escort for the evening, Detective Brad Hollister, is rightfully confused, when the date he assumed was leaving the event early, comes crawling down the side of the museum on a drain pipe. Brad Hollister had not seen his high school chemistry partner in years, when their parents conspired to partner them for the evening. Kelsey Allen certainly grew up beautifully and is currently avoiding his questions about the "what" and "whys" like a tight lipped soldier. When it becomes apparent that she is working undercover security for a local firm, a few questions are answered, but when the case takes a more personal turn, Brad and Kelsey find danger around just about every corner. A puzzling disappearance more than twenty eight years prior seems to hold the key to solving a mystery that no one realized was literally buried in the past. "Justice Buried" has a thrilling fast pace and multiple suspects, but the two characters who have the most to lose, also have the most to gain. Kelsey’s dad left town a thief when she was a small child. Now in her thirties, Kelsey’s job is to break into buildings, hack into corporate computer systems and to always leave a calling card, letting them know their systems are inferior. On one such visit she sees more than she bargained for and a chain of events is set in motion. I completely enjoyed reading Justice Buried. I escaped into the world of Memphis, artifacts, cat burglers and murder. I have already listed the first book in this series by Ms Bradley – Justice Delayed as a book I want to read.
