This is first in a series called The Harbingers. The four authors have each written one section. 

I found it a little confusing at first, but once I was into the second story, I was hooked.

It deals with the supernatural. For instance, a house disappears and reappears.

The four characters who were unconnected at the beginning are now united in working together. We seem to get answers, but more questions follow them.

The story moves quickly, and it certainly is a page turner.

As a fan of Peretti, I like finding three more authors who write in this genre. The stories are seamless and the characters real even with the fact that four different authors produced this book. I want to read the next one.

Like a movie that has more than one “Superstar” in it, I was a bit apprehensive about reading a book written by four “superstar” Christian authors. Four authors, four characters, and four short stories. Each author has a specific character and writes an episode with their character as the main character. The flow from one short story/author to the next was seamless. I had a hard time putting the book down, always wanting to get to the next story – binge reading instead of binge watching. Unfortunately, the end of the book is not the season finale. You have to wait for the next book by the group of authors. This book is categorized as Christian but I don’t get a strong sense of redemption, salvation or trust; in fact one of the characters is an atheist. There is some talk of God and angels.  I am left with more of a sense of aliens, supernatural, mystical.
