Author: Angela McCoy Genre: Children Pages: 112 Release Date: December 1, 2022 Publisher: Siretona Kids Every night the children begged and prayed to God for their hearts' desire: a puppy. Some people might say they wore Mama and Papa out, and others might say that Jesus softened their parents' hearts. But things don't go as they hoped. How can they recover from their disappointment? Who will help them accept the blessing in the unexpected? Reviewer: Linda Klager I loved the story and the lesson learned about God sending something better. It is just like God knows what is best for us! The author chose a unique way to tell us about God's blessings and His love for all of us, children and adults alike. There was one illustration for this short story. I would have liked more illustrations throughout the book. I received a complimentary copy courtesy of the author through Interviews & Reviews. Reviewer: Marta Aldrighetti The book's main characters are the McCoy family: husband Joe, mother Betty, and four small children. The children wish for a puppy. This is an important decision. The parents have their hands full: job, taking care of the children, house, farm, and cows. The parents speak to each other, help each other, pray, and teach their children to be good adults with words and facts. For these reasons, I can recommend this book to both children and adult readers. As a parent myself, I can relate to the parents of the book: sometimes it's difficult to say no to children or do lots of errands and take care of family and other stuff. But family is the most important thing in life! The cover is nice, but I was a bit disappointed because in the book there aren't any pictures. I received a complimentary copy courtesy of the author through Interviews & Reviews for my honest opinion.
