Yes, he’s a highly trained military working dog, but certainly her skills could be put to better use, right? Not according to former Special Forces Air Commando GREY PARKER. He needs her help to protect his dog while he undergoes an experimental surgery that could restore his ability to walk. He just needs someone to keep his canine partner safe. Most of all, Grey wants back on his feet so he can track down a deranged scientist known as The Scavenger who unleashed a nerve agent that left Grey sidelined in a wheelchair. When an attempt is made on Grey’s life, and dead bodies begin piling up—with evidence the same toxin is responsible—suddenly Christina is tasked with keeping both dog and soldier alive…and with them, the secrets that could stop a terrorist attack. But this time, even Christina might be in over her head. Dive into the exciting ignition to the Elite Guardians Collection. ![]() Reviewer: Nikita Wells 5 stars for this clean and action-packed read! Driving Force is the latest exhilarating installment in the Elite Guardians series by Lynette Eason and is the first of its kind to be co-authored by Kate Angelo. And let me tell you, she has done a magnificent job! Christina Sherman, Elite Guardian bodyguard and former Army Sniper, has her work cut out for her on this newest Guardians case. She's protecting one of the Army's finest deadly chemical detecting dogs- a Belgian Mastiff aptly named Boss. A sweetheart of a dog with friends, but a deadly enemy when crossed by evildoers. His owner, Air Force Captain Grey Parker, is preparing to have an experimental surgery to restore his ability to walk after being damaged by a new nerve-debilitating agent known as X-VX. Easy to create and easy to release on unsuspecting civilians. Boss is the only dog thus far able to detect it. Making him a valuable target for a mysterious killer that has been eliminating his seemingly random victims with X-VX. This is only the first book in a series of three new Elite Guardians books that Lynette Eason will be releasing soon, and I plan to review them as well. I received a Bookfunnel copy of this book free from the Sunrise Publishing, courtesy of Interviews and Reviews, in exchange for my review. The thoughts above are my own, and a positive review was not required. ![]() Reviewer: Paula Shreckhise Wow, what a nail biter! My kind of suspense. Former sniper, Christina, has become a bodyguard for the Elite Guardians Agency. She is bright and capable but mostly keeps to herself. Grey is a disabled veteran who is a dog handler with a special working dog, Boss, who is his best friend. Boss is so special that he is the one who needs protection. A mention is made of Fort Leonard Wood which is very close to where I live, so that was interesting. This is an accomplished book with more than a little excitement and intrigue. The bad guys are well-drawn and the good guys are just flawed enough to make them interesting and able to grow in their faith. “The word Christ jumped off the page and hit her square in the heart, confirming why she was here. God was her rock, the one who trained her hands for war and her fingers for battle.” This is a great story to continue the Elite Guardian series. I liked reconnecting with characters from the series. I cannot wait for the next one. A complimentary eBook copy was provided by Sunrise Publishers through Interviews and Reviews. I was not required to give a favorable review. All opinions are my own. ![]() Reviewer: Laura Thomas Christina Sherman is a former sniper, now a bodyguard with Elite Guardians and tasked with protecting, of all clients, a military-trained dog named Boss. The highly-trained canine belongs to Grey Parker, a former Special Forces Air Commando who is wheelchair-bound after being injured on the job by a lethal nerve agent. Christina has her work cut out for her with a crazy scientist, a lethal assassin, and an undeniable attraction to her client—and his handsome owner! Sparks fly—as do bullets—in this action-packed, page-turning suspense with engaging characters and a fearless canine. A must-read for lovers of Christian romantic suspense.
