Author: Natalie Walters
Genre: Romantic Suspense
Series: The Snap Agency #3
Pages: 320
Release Date: April 11, 2023
Publisher: Revell

She's risking her life. He's risking his heart. It's unclear which is more dangerous.

Lyla Fox knows she has a reputation at the SNAP Agency for being impulsive, but when she receives a threatening letter from a man she helped put in prison, she can't stop herself from going all in to find out why he's coming after her. Unfortunately, she's going to need the help of the one person who questions her choices more than anyone else.

Explosives and weapons specialist Nicolás Garcia agrees to help Lyla in order to keep her safe, but her recklessness continues to be a major concern, especially when her investigation into a conspiracy puts a target on her back. Dealing with bombs is dangerous. Working with Lyla is proving to be just as treacherous--to both the mission and his heart.

Blind Trust was an exciting conclusion to The SNAP Agency series. I love this series so, so much!!

I loved that Lyla got her own book. I fell in love with her character in the first book and was so glad to see her grow throughout BT. I loved seeing Lyla and Garcia's relationship slowly (and slowly) build. Not going to lie, it was, at times, torture to read about these two because of the tension and unknown emotions while they were attempting to stay alive.

Like all her other books, Natalie Walters had me on my seat the entire time. I could hardly put this book down due to the action and suspense that was happening throughout this book. Overall, this book was an epic conclusion to an amazing series! I cannot wait to see what Natalie Walters has for us next.

I received a complimentary copy courtesy of Revell through Interviews & Reviews for my honest opinion.

Natalie Walters has been a “must-read” author since I read her debut series – Harbored Secrets. And, I must admit – the SNAP Agency has been the best of the two. I doubted a fictional government series, but Walters pulls it off with high-octane action and astonishing realism.

Since this is a series, I strongly recommend readers read the first two books and the prequel novella, Initium, about the team’s origins. This book, Blind Trust, will take readers back to that novella in a stunning plot arc.

This is told from four POVS – Lyla, Nic, Brooks, and Tom.

While it starts off with a government insurance fraud case, it doesn’t stay there. Lyla’s impulsive behavior has Nic rethinking his contributions to the team. Though, he’s more worried about his concern for her being detrimental to the team. That is, until a threat is made against Lyla.

Nic is offered a temporary job which ties into his EOD training. He hesitates to take it but wonders if he’ll return to SNAP afterward. But before that happens, Nic and the team have to solve the question of who is after Lyla. The only problem? The main suspect is dead, which should seem like an open-and-shut case until it isn’t.

Drawn in from the first chapter until the last, Blind Trust has danger, intrigue, suspense, excitement, slow-burn romance, and a dose of humor. The fast-pacing and short chapters kept the story going without slowing down, even for a moment.

Walters does her research, making this entertaining and as realistic as possible. She has a way of writing that puts the readers in the story and pulls them along the journey beside the characters.

Revell is a Christian publisher, so this has some faith references. It is not preachy in tone but does rely on some elements of faith to guide the characters. I’m eager to see what Walters has planned next.

Thank you to Revell for providing a complimentary review copy through Interviews & Reviews. A positive review was neither required nor requested.

Natalie Walters composed a story of romance and mystery that left me wanting more!

Lyla Fox and Nicolas Garcia were realistic characters. I loved seeing their bond and how close they all were working in the agency. The mystery was fun and had me guessing the whole time. There was never a boring moment. I loved the way the mystery side of it was all put together, but it also had an amazing romance side with some of the best tropes.

If you enjoy novels with romance mixed with suspense, you will definitely love this one. I highly recommend it. And on the plus side, it is clean, which is another positive element of this book. I also really enjoyed the side characters. Kekoa and Jack were so hilarious. They really added to this story. I have not read the other books in this series, but you do not have to. This can be read as a standalone.

This action-packed page-turner is the final book in “The Snap Agency” series. It features death threats, sweet romance, random attacks, family devastation, explosives, and a deadly government conspiracy!

Lyla Fox is the SNAP team’s rebellious-and-reckless agent, and Nicolas Garcia is their serious, cautious explosives and weapons specialist. They say opposites attract…

With rich characters, high-stakes tension, snappy dialogue, and the author’s quick wit throughout, this is pure delight for lovers of Christian romantic suspense. Blind Trust can be read as a stand-alone, but I heartily recommend reading the entire series for maximum enjoyment!

A great ending to The SNAP Agency series!

Nicolas and Lyla were both well-defined characters who had believable motivations. I liked seeing them grow to trust (and love) each other over the course of this book. And I was quite happy to see Kekoa again. He’s hilarious and has to be my favorite character in this series. I loved how the SNAP team interacted with each other and all the humor involved. That was great!

The plot was full of twists and turns. Some minor details went a little over my head, probably because I read too quickly. This story (especially near the end) contained plenty of suspense and high stakes to keep me reading. And now I want to read the prequel. The themes of trust, family, and fear were well done and added to the story. I appreciated that Natalie Walters kept both the romance and the language clean.

Overall, Blind Trust was an exciting read I’d recommend to those who enjoy Christian fiction and romantic suspense. I’m looking forward to seeing what Natalie Walters writes next!

"I think you and Garcia are like copper and tellurium. Cu-Te. From the periodic table."

Lyla and Garcia's story was totally worth the wait. We already knew there was romantic tension between them from the previous books, but their story is so much more than romantic tension, clever barbs, and witty dialogue. A surprising and fascinating backstory is the foundation of intricately detailed and gripping suspense. You will be completely blown away when all the pieces are finally revealed. Even if you didn't read the prequel novella Initium (which I didn't do before reading this book), you would still be able to fully appreciate the beauty of the story. If you read Initium, you'd have a head start understanding the plot here.

I enjoyed getting to know Lyla underneath her snark and political connections. Her vulnerability, drive to prove herself, and family dynamics added great layers to her character. Garcia's past that prevented him from pursuing Lyla was fleshed out. His integrity, loyalty, and thoughtfulness made him an unforgettable hero. Director Tom Walsh also had a voice, which added dimensions to the plot.

With nail-biting suspense, fantastic plot twists, lovable characters, a strong faith thread, and crackling romantic tension, Blind Trust is the perfect ending to a wonderful series. Kudos to Natalie Walters!

I have no fingernails left after reading this romantic suspense novel by the super-talented Natalie Walters. The SNAP Agency is one of those mysterious agencies consisting of highly qualified and highly trained individuals who take care of business by taking down the bad guys. This is the third and final installment in this series, and I am really sad to see it end. Natalie Walters did a bang-up job of wrapping everything up.

Lyla Fox is the most reckless member of the team. She is a daredevil who will go to any lengths to finish her assignment, even putting her life in danger to save others. It is an admirable trait from the outside looking in, but to those who love her, it is nerve-wracking. Nicolas Garcia is the resident explosives and weapons specialist on the team. He is a superhero of sorts, but begrudgingly his heart belongs to Lyla. He has not voiced his feelings to Lyla, but the undercurrent of romance lurks beneath the surface for both Lyla and Nic. When Lyla receives a threatening letter from a man she helped convict and put in prison, she knows she will need the help of Nic and others on her team. From that point forward, the action amps up, and it does not stop until the closing pages.

I was completely immersed in this book once I started reading it. That is one of Natalie Walters' talents. She knows how to pull the reader into the story and make the characters and the story very real to the reader. I absolutely love the characters in this series, and I highly recommend starting from book #1. However, you can read this book as a standalone. As usual, Kekoa will always be my favorite character in this series. He is a computer expert who provides much-needed comic relief to his teammates when things are tense. The man loves to eat and makes no bones about it. Natalie Walters knows how to provide the perfect mix of mystery and suspense, romance, humor, and an inspirational thread as well. Perfect read!

Blind Trust grabs you from the very start and never lets go. This book is romantic suspense at its very best. There were twists and turns that kept me guessing right to the end, and I was surprised by how it all played out.

The romantic tension between the main characters was perfectly written, making it easy to connect with their emotions and causing me to invest myself in the story.

Nicolas struggles to balance work and his natural instinct to protect Lyla from her own impulsive nature. How can he keep her safe if she’s eager to run headlong into danger? He may find those very traits are what make her so attractive to him.

Lyla doesn’t understand Nic’s distrust of her decisions. She values his approval but doesn’t understand why he’s determined to hold her back. She wants his trust and friendship and may find she wants more.

What a wonderful end to this series. I love the way faith is woven into each story. I can’t wait for Natalie’s next book!

I was given a copy through NetGalley courtesy of Revell, a division of Baker Publishing Group. This is my honest opinion of the book.
