only about angels but also about the beauty and innocence of creativity and imagination of children. I hope your child enjoys the story of Alieya and her cat Tajo as she enjoys life with her family. I hope your child also begins to ask questions about God, creation, and angels. And through this, may you also explore God's Word and come to know Him in a deeper, more personal way. ![]() Reviewer: Mary Hosmar This delightfully illustrated children’s book can be a great introduction to angels for young children. It can also serve as a reminder of what angels are and some of their roles as God’s servants for the rest of us. The ideas presented about angles are based on Biblical references which Ms. Branz includes at the end of the book. This can lead to further reading and exploring God’s word. The water colour pictures add to the soothing tone of the book. Even the warrior angels don’t look scary enough to cause nightmares but rather portray the feeling of strength and safety. After reading this book it will be difficult to see a shooting star, and not be reminded of angels playing tag. The very idea of playful angels brings a smile to one’s face. Although older children would be able to read this book on their own, it is a book best read to a child since some of the wording and ideas may lead to further explanation. Leave a Reply. |
