inconceivable—forgive. He is suddenly challenged by the realization that doing God's will is not easy, but most important. With the lives of freedom-fighters relying on him, he must learn the difficult lesson that he is not in control, but merely one who must surrender his heart of obedience to One greater. A sudden turn of events lands Joyanna and David in the same country—but for far different reasons. When their paths cross, David finds he must make a decision that will affect them both for the rest of their lives. Will he choose vengeance, or will he let his life be ruled by a higher standard? A standard of Honor. Reviewer: Kelly Potts “A Question of Honor” by Jessica Wheaton has all the ingredients of a memorable read. It is filled with heartache, anguish, hatred, and forgiveness. Little Joyanne’s plight and her strength of character at such a young age easily grips the reader. David, Gil, Lily, Elaine and Micah’s strong faith is well woven into the storyline . My low rating is about how the book is structured and Erich’s poor character development. I wanted to hear more about Erich at the end of the novel. His inner conflict at times was confusing. My final feelings for the character were jumbled and I don’t know if that was the intent of Ms. Wheaton. The version I read had a number of typos and an over usage of “…”. I do not think the cover properly reflects the storyline. Even though I rated it 3-stars I feel the premise of the book is deserving of a recommendation. Leave a Reply. |
