Playing dead might just get her killed
FBI Special Agent Lincoln St. John is living his own personal nightmare. When the woman he loves, Allison Radcliffe, is killed, he devotes himself to tracking down the killers and making them pay for their crimes. He expected it to be a challenge. What he never expected was to find Allison very much alive shortly after her "murder."
As his anger and hurt mix with relief, Linc isn't sure how he's supposed to feel. One thing he does know for sure: he and Allison will have to work together to stop a killer before she dies a second time--this time for good.

I have read all four Books in the Blue Justice Series. They keep you in your seat and this one did the same.
This story made me sit back and wonder about how to trust when you do not even know that person in your life is secretive, manipulative and dishonest. A person that you always need to watch your back. But Linc St. John and Allie are partners and even with the law enforcement. They are two people that rely on the Lord to see them through each case and this is a big one.
This book was given to me by Revell a division of Baker Publishing Group and Interviews and Reviews. My review is my honest opinion. This is a 5 * book for sure.

Vow of Justice by Lynette Eason is the final book in the Blue Justice series. This one is about brother Lincoln St. John, a special agent with the FBI and his partner Allison Radcliffe.
“Playing dead might just get her killed.”
Undercover, in order to find evidence to put away a major player in the Russian Mafia, Allison is very much in danger. After an explosion, she is convinced by her boss to play dead. When her partner, Linc, finds out she is still alive, they work together to make sense of all the diverse clues. Allison’s past comes back to haunt her. There is so much intrigue in this story.
Linc gives her advice or a word of warning: “Just remember. Justice and revenge are two very different things.”
After an incident, Allie says: ”In my head I kept hearing you saying that justice and revenge are two very different things. And then that Bible verse popped into my head. The one about vengeance is the Lord’s.” Linc replies: “God has a way of doing that. Of sticking with you and speaking to you when you need it. Or least expect it.”
The action is fast and the bad guys abound. This suspenseful book will have you turning pages quickly and on the edge of your seat frequently throughout this carefully honed story. The author showcases the closeness of the St. John family and their steadfast faith shines. They are always ready to help one another.
Brother Derek seems to have been left out of these stories. But never fear, Ms. Eason has plans for him in a novella collection: Protecting Tanner Hollow.
I enjoyed this series immensely and look forward to more from one of my favorite authors.
I purchased a copy of this book from a local bookstore. All opinions are my own.

What an intense thrill ride! This is book 4 in the Blue Justice series (but book 5 if you want to count the novella that came between books 2 and 3) and the series follows the St. John family - a lawyer father, a chief of police mother, and six adult children who are all in law enforcement except for one. I haven’t read any of the previous books before reading this one and felt that I missed out a little on the family background and dynamics as well as the background of Linc and Allie’s relationship and partnership as FBI agents. But it didn’t detract from enjoyment of this fast-paced, suspense-filled story with a solid layer of faith and a good dose of romance.
In this book, Allie’s past and her true motives in becoming an FBI agent come to light as she goes undercover to bring down a Russian mafia leader. Allie’s past violently collides with her present as she works fervently to get revenge and Linc tries his best to protect her as they work together to figure out how to stop the villain. There are plenty of twists and turns in the plot that will have you turning the pages faster and faster in an attempt to find out how the pieces all fit. Lynette Eason delivers another nail-biting romantic suspense that won’t disappoint.

Oh my word, I love Lynette Eason's books so much!! Even though this wasn't an all time favorite, by her it still was fantastic!
I had a very hard time putting down this book. The action and suspense had my heart thumping in my chest. I, at one point, thought it was going to literally burst.
Lynette Eason is a queen of suspense. Her books are just to die for. I have fallen in love with her writing and I think I will forever be in love with it.
Her characters are too die for. I loved getting to know Linc better in this book. We've seen him a lot in previous books but it was awesome reading about his story and seeing it all play out.
I also really enjoyed getting to know Allie as a character. She was the perfect female protagonist for this story and plot. I loved seeing her development throughout this novel.
The faith content as always was amazing and not preachy. It was very subtle and on point with what was happening.
Can I just fangirl about the ending of this book though?!? I was squealing in my bed with excitement. I was so happy!! I'm going to stop now before I start spilling spoilers.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book and I am very sad to see that this was the last book in the series. I will forever remember the St. John family and their crazy adventures that got me hooked on suspense novels.

"Just remember. Justice and revenge are two very different things."
F. B. I. agent Allison "Allie" Radcliffe has been diligently seeking retribution for the killers who destroyed her family when she was a teen; to the point of obsession, it's why she chose a law enforcement career to begin with. After accepting an undercover role in the home of a known Russian mob leader, a photograph gives her the first clue that her much- sought -after assassin is still alive. . . . . . . .only she isn't.
Special Agent Linc St. John is devastated when his partner is said to have been killed in a mob hit. Barely escaping with his own life, Linc channels his grief into action, only to discover that Allie is very much alive. Hurt and confused, Allie's excuses for the subterfuge fall flat, until he realizes the advantage it has given them. Many things about the case aren't adding up; time is running out, Allie's heart seems to be closing, and the danger is as real as it ever has been, maybe even more.
With more twists and turns than a mountain parkway, readers will have to keep their eyes on the road for the duration of this book. Fast paced, adrenaline laced; this story driven plot has a lot to offer romantic suspense enthusiasts.
