Your husband has said he's leaving you. For another woman? A mid-life crisis? To announce his homosexuality? How would you react? Who could you turn to?
Abandoned Into the Heart of God is Alexandria Bagnell's story of how she answered those questions with God's help. Alexandria shares her experiences to help women understand they are not alone. By writing practical, supportive and spiritual applications at the end of each chapter, she is able to help women:
Not only is this book for women who are walking or have walked the journey of abandonment, but also for family members, friends, pastors, counselors and divorce support groups.
Abandoned Into the Heart of God is a story of God's mercy and grace, of forgiveness, of healing and recovery.
And, it's about His unconditional love for you.

Abandoned into the Heart of God by Alexandria Bagnell is unlike any book I have ever read before. While it is a memoir of her marriage as it transpired in her life, it is also a self-help book and journal. It is the perfect book to have on hand for those who are going through a divorce or experiencing problems in their marriage.
The author has bravely shared her story of how after eighteen years of marriage and two children, her husband announced that he was gay. This book does not bash gays but is a thoughtful and emotional re-telling of how this affected the author emotionally and spiritually.
Included at the end of each chapter are practical applications, supportive applications and spiritual applications as well as a prayer. If you are someone going through a divorce or having marriage problems, these thoughtful parts of the book may help you. The author has also left room for the reader to journal their thoughts, making this a book to pick up and read for advice and support.
If you are having marriage problems, I highly recommend this book.
