Today, I am pleased to welcome our Book of Year winner, author Valerie Fraser Luesse. Valerie is the bestselling author of Missing Isaac, Almost Home, and The Key to Everything, as well as an award-winning magazine writer best known for her feature stories and essays in Southern Living, where she is currently senior travel editor. Specializing in stories about unique pockets of Southern culture, Luesse received the 2009 Writer of the Year award from the Southeast Tourism Society for her editorial section on Hurricane Katrina recovery in Mississippi and Louisiana. A graduate of Auburn University and Baylor University, she lives in Birmingham, Alabama, with her husband, Dave.

C.S. Wachter Interview

Today, please welcome author C. S. Wachter to I & R. Chris lives in rural Lancaster county, Pennsylvania, with her husband Joe, one German Shepherd, and three cats. She and Joe have been married for more than forty years and have three sons, one grandson and one granddaughter.

Ms. Wachter earned her degree in Performing Arts and English Education from Rowan University in 1975. She compares developing a character’s perspective to preparing for an acting role. As a life-long lover of books, she has read and enjoyed a variety of genres. However, after reading J. R. R. Tolkien in middle school her favorite has been, and remains to this day, Fantasy with a Christian perspective. An Interview with K. L. Ditmars

Today, I am pleased to welcome K. L. (Kelly) Ditmars to I & R. Kelly was born in Kakabeka Falls, ON Canada, and has lived in several provinces since. She has lived and traveled to several countries both as a Christian Missionary and as a curious human soul. To support her traveling habit, she has worked in various industries and occupations throughout her life, from part-time catering to clerking in the Supreme Court of BC.

Kelly completed a degree in Medieval Studies at the University of Victoria.

She loves musical theatre, taking pictures, cooking, baking, hanging out with family and friends, and of course reading.

She now lives in Victoria, BC where the adventure of life and her writing continues.
