Justice lies just on the other side of fear
At the advice of her therapist, Harper Reynolds has traded her job as a crime scene photographer for a more peaceful life taking photographs of the natural world. But her hopes for a life surrounded by the serenity of the outdoors are dashed when she inadvertently captures a murder being committed. She flees the scene in fear--and loses the camera.
Former Green Beret Heath McKade, a reserve deputy in an understaffed county, has been called in to protect Harper, a childhood friend he is surprised to see back in the area. When Harper learns that the sheriff's department can't find any evidence of the murder she witnessed, she is determined to do what she can to see that justice is done. What neither Harper nor Heath could know is how many explosive secrets from the past will be exposed--or how deeply they will fall for each other.

Facing Your Fears can be dangerous.
Harper Reynolds' life has been filled with trauma. Witnessing the murder of her father followed by becoming a crime scene photographer, Harper has seen her share of violence. When her therapist advises her to take a break, she decides to go back to her hometown for a little nature photography but stumbles on a man murdering a woman once again putting her life in danger. The sheriff can find no evidence of a murder, but an old friend, Heath McKade, believes her and seeks to protect her while trying to find the murderer.
This intriguing plot can be found in Elizabeth Goddard's second book in the Uncommon Justice Series, "Always Look Twice". While the first book, Never Let Go, was "riveting, thrilling and absolutely wonderful", her newest one is even better. Her excellent character development and imaginative plotline come with twists and turns that make this one her best yet.

If there was an award for any books that you cannot put down, this book would be in the running. Always Look Twice by Elizabeth Goddard hooked me from the beginning and kept me quickly turning pages until the end.
I had been looking forward to this second book in the Uncommon Justice series for quite some time. Always Look Twice was worth the wait for me. The plot kept moving at a breathtaking pace and I truly didn't want to put it down. This plot also had a lot of twists and turns and I truly didn't see part of the ending coming. As the author let us in on a few of the secrets as the book went along, I did guess part of the ending. Still it was so fun to find everything out.
I liked all of the main characters but I definitely enjoyed the romantic spark between Harper Reynolds and Health McKade. Goddard's writing was so smooth that I felt like I could easily visualize this story in my mind almost like I was watching an action film. I truly enjoyed the whole book and my only complaint is that I have to wait a while before book three in the series although Goddard whets our appetite for it with a quick preview of it at the end of this book.
I received this book from Revell through Interview and Reviews. All opinions are my own.

Ever wonder what makes people do certain things to people? Why the motive? I sure do!
This book was just totally awesome! I just couldn't put it down! Y'all this book had me turning the pages quickly to see who the killer was and if Heath and Harper would reunite!
There are many twists and turns along the way, and Elizabeth does a fabulous job in keeping us guessing who it is and why. I love that her characters are flawed because along the way, they learn a few things about life.
I felt bad for Harper. I can't imagine what she is going through. Heath is the same way. I love Harper's sister Emily. I think she's a cool supporting character.
Sheriff Taggart, I didn't trust him with a 10 ft pole! I couldn't at first understand what his problem was until I finished the book! You'll be surprised when you find out who it really was! I know I was!
I have a question for y'all! Do you tend to keep secrets until they eventually come out years later, or do you just want to clear the air now? Will Heath and Harper be able to cope once they do?
Find out in this new exciting adventure just waiting to be read! I guarantee that you won't be disappointed!

Elizabeth Goddard delivers another A-plus book with Always Look Twice. As the "uncommon justice" series continues, Goddard creates a new, intriguing love story wrapped in mystery, which leaves readers salivating for Book 3.
Trauma, family, and perseverance are the major themes in this suspense-filled novel, which stories the tale of Heath McKade and Harper Reynolds, childhood best friends who part after tumultuous events but who meet again, this time under dangerous circumstances. The love story is not the mystery here, and Goddard does a phenomenal job foreshadowing the end while leaving false clues along the way, never giving it all away.
I loved the characters. I loved the plot. I loved it all!

With nonstop action, heart-pounding suspense, and lots of twists and turns, Always Look Twice is a gripping, emotionally charged book sure to please those who enjoy clean romantic suspense.
The colorful, well-drawn characters and the setting in the Teton area of Wyoming were especially interesting to me. I’ve spent a lot of time in that area including a couple of days right before reading this book. The main characters, Harper and Heath were engaging and multi-layered, but they both also had broken pasts they hadn’t entirely come to terms with. I enjoyed seeing their relationship develop and healing begin.
It was interesting to learn more about crime scene photographers and their techniques in processing the scene of a crime. With bombs going off in various places and characters getting killed, the suspense just kept ramping up and kept me guessing. Uplifting messages of faith, forgiving yourself and others, and hope are woven through the story and give added depth and dimension to it.
This is the second book in Goddard’s Uncommon Justice series, but it is easily read alone. I’m assuming that the next book will be Liam’s story, and I’m looking forward to seeing what he’s been up to.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy from Revell Publishing. All opinions are my own.

This was an extremely exciting book. Ms. Goddard certainly kept me riveted to the story. The scenery is breathtaking and so is the suspense. The details of law enforcement and crime scene are well done. She has done thorough research. Get set for a wild ride. There are surprises in store and a great romance.
There is more to come in the next book about the remaining brother, Liam, just returned from several years undercover.
Highly recommended for fans of exceptional Christian Suspense.

Another Elizabeth Goddard book I could not put down! With her trademark flare for intense and fast-paced action and suspense, the author creates an intriguing tale where the past and the present coalesce when Harper, a crime scene photographer, returns to her hometown and becomes a target herself when she witnesses a murder.
Heath, a guest ranch owner and volunteer deputy, is pleasantly surprised to see his childhood best friend return to their hometown but quickly gets embroiled in the trouble that follows Harper. The villain actually has a voice in the plot but the identity is cleverly concealed until the end.
This easy-to-read story that combines a well-crafted plot, plenty of action and suspense, deeply layered and relatable characters, and great character development will draw you in from the first page. It’s book 2 in the Uncommon Justice series but can definitely be read as a stand alone.
I received a copy of the book from Revell and was under no obligation to post a positive review. All comments and opinions are solely my own.
