Author, Janet S. Grunst’s book, A Heart of Freedom is a historical story of change as colonies seek their freedom from oppressive British rule. The change creates fascinating types of mystery such as historical mystery and private eye pursuits.
One of the main characters, Matthew Stewart — a family man, a farmer and an owner of an inn is in the midst of making a private, prayerful decision that is going to impact his family, his friends and his colony. As Matthew’s mysterious decision unfolds, his wife, Heather persistently and prayerfully seeks the truth. It is inspiring to witness the characteristics of the Stewart family — faithfulness, loyalty, loving, supportive and communicative. It is moving to see the love and support of friends during tough times. I enjoyed discovering the news developments through the travellers at Stewart’s inn and I also enjoyed following the prayer journey of Matthew and Heather Stewart. I would highly recommend this historical story.
