Author: Susan May Warren Genre: Romantic Suspense Series: Call of the Wild #2 Pages: 352 Release Date: June 2, 2026 Publisher: Revell Two broken hearts. One deadly mission. And just one avalanche dog standing between them and a killer. Harley Tatum made a vow to never return to Copper Mountain, Alaska, where a drug dealer destroyed her family and the man she loved walked away. But when that same criminal escapes and justice calls her name, she has no choice but to face everything she buried. Jericho Bowie remembers things differently. She left him. And he's spent years wondering why. Now Harley needs his search-and-rescue dog, Orlando, to track a fugitive through treacherous mountain terrain--and Jericho refuses to let her go alone. Not again. But as they push deep into the frozen wilderness, the hunter becomes the hunted. Old feelings resurface at the worst possible time, and survival depends on two people who don't know if they can trust each other--or their own hearts. Reviewer: Lori Parrish “Sometimes all we need is someone to remind us who we are.” Loved this quote from Harley. She’s a wise lady, and I love her quote to Jericho. This is my favorite book by Susan May Warren so far. Fast-paced action all the way through. I grew to love Harley, Winter, Harley, Torfu, Orlando and the rest of the crew. I kept rooting for them too. They kept me on the edge of my seat, biting my nails in some parts. Others well.......those kisses? “Sigh,” y’all know what I mean. I loved the dog’s name, Orlando. Too cute. He’s a pretty cool dog, all in all. I really enjoyed the setting! The description was so vivid that I felt like I was there! I finished this book in one evening it was so good. I’ve always said there’s no place like home. But I also feel that it’s where the people you love that make it home too. This story will make the hairs stand up on the back of your neck wow! Love it! 5 stars for keeping my interest all the way through. I received a complimentary copy courtesy of Revell through Interviews & Reviews via NetGalley for my honest opinion. Leave a Reply. |
