Reviewer: Anna Bottoms I loved the tagline: She can’t picture his face. But he knows hers. This alone made me wonder why? What’s happening? I was eager to open the pages and find out. “Eye of the Mind” is not just a suspense novel but an experience, reflecting what could happen in real life. The beginning blind date disaster sets the stage for some great interactions and soul searching later in the story. I learned something new as I had never heard of aphantasia, a neurological disorder that prevents a person from picture memory. How horrifying it would be to observe a murder and not be able to remember facial details. I’d be looking over my shoulder and examining every face I came across. This book was fast-paced, had suspense, and a slow burn romance. I also appreciated the faith elements in the story. I will be returning to this one again. Great book! I was given a copy courtesy of the author through Interviews & Reviews. This is my honest opinion of the book. Reviewer: Carolyn Bryant Eye of the Mind is a fast-moving Christian romantic suspense novella layered with thriller twists and psychological intrigue. The emotionally charged story hooked me from the beginning and never eased its hold. The smartly woven storyline features a compelling cast of characters headlined by firefighter Jules Adler, who witnesses a murder, and police sketch artist Dante de Marco. The couple must work together in a race against time and a relentless killer to reconstruct a memory and a face Jules cannot visualize due to a rare neurological trait. I enjoyed how their romance unfolds reluctantly, sparked by danger and deepened by the unexpected trust they are forced to build as the killer closes in. I appreciate the inspiring faith thread that explores misconceptions about God and trust in difficult circumstances. I thoroughly enjoyed this quick yet satisfying read and highly recommend it.
