He's given up hope that anyone will understand what his parents and fiancee did not, but everything changes when he enters a small cafe and sees a woman whose eyes reflect his own pain standing next to a jukebox. Jim knows he'll never see her again, yet it somehow feels right to extend his hand and say, "May I have this dance?"

It's a once-in-a-lifetime moment for two wounded people unless they can overcome their fears and find the courage to love again.

This was such a lovely story that I thoroughly devoured in one sitting.

I only have one word. “Sigh.”

Jim and Anna were wonderful in getting to know. Each had painful pasts to overcome, especially Jim. My heart went out to him in more ways than one. I admired him a great deal. I kept rooting for him and holding out hope for both Anna and Jim.

Do you believe in instant attraction? I certainly do. I kept turning the pages to see if my guess was correct about these two. I won’t say if it was cause I don’t want to give it away lol, but I’m sure you can guess.

I loved “watching” them slow dancing with the jukebox. The author described this scene very well. It’s one of my favorites.

I also loved watching Sweetwater Crossing change with the times in this wonderful series.

This could be made into a Hallmark movie! It was sooooo good!

This story left my heart feeling full and satisfied!

5 stars for a wonderful romance and 2nd chances. I highly recommend.
