I love a good Regency romance, and this book was wonderful.

Amelia is not your typical debutant but rather a sensible young lady looking to marry well and help her family. 

I smiled at the way she stood up for herself with Jeremy Beaumont, the season’s most eligible catch. After all, it’s not her fault he mistook her friendship with his sister to snare him as a husband.

The push pull between them was perfectly paced as they were forced to interact with each other. You could feel the anticipation of what would come next in the relationship and I was rooting for them both.

Some of the characters in this book were serious, while others were a little bit quirky. This added to the overall enjoyment of the story.

A Mismatch Made in London by Melanie Dickerson is sure to delight historical fiction lovers everywhere. With a cast of intriguing characters, a haters-to-lovers trope, and a scoundrel, this one was hard to put down.

Amelia Moore is not a wealthy debutante. She comes from the country, with many brothers and sisters, and feels it is her duty to make a good match to help her family. She is invited to London for the season by her aunt. While there, she unknowingly befriends the sister of Jeremy Beaumont, the most sought after bachelor of the season. And of course, he believes she is the worst sort of person because she is trying to ingratiate herself with his sister, to get to him. Only she is not. She just found a friend and has no interest in him at all.

Jeremy is arrogant and quite boorish toward Amelia throughout the book, but Amelia is the best friend Juliet has ever had and refuses to let Jeremy disrupt their relationship. Both girls think they have found their perfect match. But Jeremy becomes concerned about Amelia’s choices. Hmm…I wonder why? And that is all I will say because what happened to them both, made for a very interesting read.

If you like historical romance, you will love A Mismatch Made in London.
